My name is Dara Driscoll, and if you haven’t already noticed, this is my blog.
Originally, the plan was to document my time abroad in Galway, Ireland. I spent about five months there as a Junior in my spring semester at Saint Joseph’s University. I attended classes at NUIG, and did very well in those classes. My time in Galway allowed me to visit Paris, London, Florence, and Brussels. Essentially, I traveled more in those five months than in my previous twenty one years. As documented in my blog, my time abroad had many ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I finished out my senior year at Saint Joseph’s University surrounded by friends and loved ones. I graduated in May of 2015, and I am about to embark on my next adventure: Seoul, South Korea.
While planning this next adventure of mine, I’ve found that the best way to find out what it’s really like to live somewhere else is personal blogs. So please, if you’re going abroad and embarking on a new experience, blog about it! Everyone else and their mother is doing it, so it might feel silly, but it’s so valuable. Be honest when you retell your experiences. It’s difficult to do something new altogether, so having an idea of what to expect helps every bit.
If you’ve found my blog because you were searching about Galway or Saint Joe’s, or even Philly Comic Con, I hope you find some valuable information that helps you decide something for yourself.
Have a lovely day, and as always, feel free to email me with any questions. 🙂
